Ron's Journeys to Brazil
Celebrating Life founder Ron Roth has made three journeys to Brazil to visit the man he calls his spiritual brother, João Teixeria de Faria, also known as “John of God.” Starting with his first trip in 2001, Ron has been warmly received by João. He is known there as “The Padre,” and he has been asked by João to perform Mass during his visits, a rare privilege.
João’s healing center is known as the Casa de Dom Inácio de Loyola (Saint Ignatius) and is located in the small town of Abadiânia. During his stays at the Casa, Ron and Joao have exchanged sacred gifts that signify their connection over the miles. On one visit, João presented Ron with a statue of Saint Ignatius that had been kept at the Casa for many years.
Thousands make the pilgrimage from around the world each year to visit the Casa de Dom Inácio de Loyola. João’s work over the years, similar to Ron’s own, has been to assist through Spiritual healing all who come seeking help.
